Kirsty Mackay is a documentary photographer, film maker and activist.

Her first book My Favourite Colour Was Yellow explored young girls' obsession with the colour pink and saw her listed as one of Time Magazine’s 34 Women Photographers to Follow right now
In 2017 she was awarded the Rebecca Vassie Memorial Award which helped her to complete her second book The Fish That Never Swam an examination low life expectancy Glasgow.
